it's strawberry season!

I can't believe how many strawberry's I am getting from my back yard garden patch. At least a large bowl like this every night for about a week and they just keep coming. I barely got any last year that I remember. It is hard to keep up with the strawberry's because life seems extra busy with a new little one. what we don't eat I am freezing to use in yogurt smoothies through out the year. It would be nice to do a fancy desert or two with the strawberry's but I barely find the time to shower these days much less bake.
Jody took last week off to build his "boys" a play set. He didn't come close to getting it done and will have to work on it as he finds time. I will be so glad when it's done. It will be hard to see him go back to work. I am pretty much a home body these days since Quentin's birth and it sure gets lonely with just me and the boys.
It should be a pretty busy summer. Jody's brother and and sister-in-law with their children will come to visit a couple days next week. In July we will go camping. In August my mom comes for a visit. In September Calvin starts preschool and Jody's parents will come for a week.

We are slowly adjusting to life with Quentin and Calvin is very excited that he is here. Jody is off this week and my sister is in town. It is nice to have so much help this first week of so much change. Quinn will have his first Dr.'s appointment tomorrow. He is such sweet baby. We tried to keep him up as much as possible today hoping that he would sleep a little better at nights than he has been. He seems to want to sleep during the day and play at night.

I went into labor late Thursday night We got to the midwife at 2 am and little Quentin was born at 4:30am. Friday April 17th. It was a painful labor but a fast one, thank the Lord. We got cleaned up went out to breakfast and then was home by 9am. Calvin woke up at 5:30am so he was only with out Mama and Papa for a few hours. A wonderful lady from our church came to be with Calvin while we were gone.
Jody was gone most of the day after we got home because we flew my sister into Baltimore and traffic was a bear. Thankfully a dear friend came over to entertain Calvin while I got some rest with the baby.
With my sister here everything has been a breeze. She is really good at entertaining Calvin who thinks the best thing in the world is being a BIG BROTHER.

It's almost time.

I was feeling a lot of contractions yesterday. Last night I lost my plug so may be I'll go into labor with in the next 24 hours. I did with Calvin after losing my plug. keep my fingers crossed. I sure am ready and I think it will put Jody at ease who seems to be a little stressed and just wants it over with.
We will take Calvin to swim lessons today and then lay him down for a nap. today will be nice. sunny and 60. Then we can expect 70 degrees for the next two days before rain sets in again next week.
